Notts Hollinwell Golf Club in Nottinghamshire is renowned as being one of England’s finest heathland golf courses. Set in north Nottinghamshire’s picturesque hills, in Robin Hood county, the club was found in 1887 within the boundary of historic Sherwood Forest.
There are plenty of legends surrounding the club, as Robin Hood – who famously robbed from the rich to give to the poor – was said to have sat on the rock above today’s second green. The course is named after the holy well near the eighth tee. For centuries, the well provided spring water to the monks who lived at Newstead Abbey. The course is ranked the 40th best in the UK by Golf World.
Crown Sports Lockers refurbished the locker rooms, installing a mix of holdall and golf bag lockers, featuring raised panel doors in traditional solid oak. We also installed island seating with a hanging rail above, drop units and a towel display unit.
The major refit also included carpeted free-standing and locker-front seats, open hanging units and vanity units. The bespoke lockers were mounted above the heating pipe system, with Crown also supplying and fitting the ventilated framework below.
